Our Sacramento and Yuba City CPR classes offer the Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED which, is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.
In the first aid class, students learn first aid skills in relieving choking in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. Modules in child CPR, AED use & choking, infant CPR & choking are optional.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

The AHA blended learning courses include an online portion
and a hands-on portion. The online portion can be completed at work,
at home, or wherever you have internet access. The hands-on skills
practice and testing session is conducted in-person with an AHA Instructor.Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you comprehensive First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge.

If you purchased the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online portion directly from the American Heart Association, you will need to pay here separately for the hands-on skills of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED to receive a course completion card.
There are Child and Infant modules that are optional; however, should you wish to take all the additional optional modules, you'll be able to perform the hands-on skills and receive credit for the child and infant on the same card.
