Heartsaver CPR AED

This course is for Non-Healthcare Providers

The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

To obtain a CPR & AED certification, participants have the option of either taking the First Aid course in the classroom in Sacramento or Yuba City, or choose the eLearning blended option.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you CPR, AED and choking knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. 

You will learn:

  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Adult choking
  • Child CPR and AED use (optional)
  • Infant CPR (optional)
  • Child and Infant (optional)

CPR instruction includes high-quality compressions, airway management, breathing, and how to use a mask.

Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace.

The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community..

Heartsaver CPR AED Classroom Course

Heartsaver® CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Add Child and Infant modules for a nominal fee.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online Course with Skill

Heartsaver CPR Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED. 

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor. The price below includes the hands-on-portion.

There are Child and Infant modules that are optional. Ensure you complete the additional Child and Infact modules if your job requires it.

Heartsaver CPR AED Skills Only

If you purchased the Heartsaver CPR AED online portion directly from the American Heart Association, you will need to pay here separately for the hands-on skills of the Heartsaver CPR AED to receive a course completion card.

There are Child and Infant modules that are optional; however, should you wish to take all the additional optional modules, you'll be able to perform the hands-on skills and receive credit for the child and infant on the same card.
